Mini Medics *

This First Aid course for children is great fun.  Its obviously interactive, engaging and its practical.

It’s designed as an introduction into basic First Aid and resuscitation (CPR) for children to use.

What’s included in the course

The First Aid for children course should be about 3 hours in length and, can be broken down into a couple of modules delivered over different days if needed.

Aimed at children aged 8 - 11 years of age, this course is the ideal way to introduce children to the principles of basic life support and First Aid

Firstly, the children learn new skills, and gain confidence and practice in a safe way using our manikins. 

They also learn that they can save life, stabilise the casualty and promote recovery by doing simple actions. This will obviously be of huge benefit if they ever had to use First Aid skills for real.

Additionally, this Mini Medics course is a huge team building exercise as they have to work together.

Each child on the course also receives a mini medic student pack.  This contains:

  • a fully illustrated 32-page ‘First Aid and Defibrillation for Children’ book.  This includes a ‘cut-out’ Mini Medics® certificate of attendance
  • the mini medics unique syringe pen in red or blue, or they can choose a pencil set
  • an 4-page worksheet to use

As an introduction to the world of First Aid, this course and the children’s First Aid resources is fantastic.

Firstly, ‘First Aid for children’ is something that they will remember.  They thoroughly enjoy the practical elements, then there is the sense of achievement when they have successfully carried out the CPR on the manikins.  Then of course, there is the key learning that have acquired so that, should they need to, they can safely respond to a First Aid incident and get the right support on the way.
